Where Can I Turn For Peace

This song holds very special meaning to me. Besides Where Can I Turn For Peace being one of my favorite hymns since I first heard it, the message in it became very personal to me 21 years ago.

As I sat in my church sacrament meeting in 2003, it was being sung as the closing hymn. I tried to sing it, but I just broke down in tears.

I was facing my own personal Gethsemane at the time. But even though I was in the depths of despair, I could feel my Savior's love so strongly and I felt such peace that everything would be okay, that I was overcome with emotion.

Because of my experience, I wrote an arrangement of "Where Can I Turn For Peace" that incorporates the song "I Feel My Savior's Love" in the accompaniment and in a violin obbligato. It has taken me years to finally seek out the licensing needed to complete this derivative work and complete the recording.

I hope this song will remind you that when your life seems overwhelming or in chaos, our Savior is waiting for you with open arms. I hope He is who you run to during those times.

Blessings!
