Releasing this album has been a long-time goal for me. 0ver 20 years ago. I won a Christian songwriter contest. I was on a compilation album with the other artist that won called "Just Believe" that was sold at Christian music and bookstores. I was also given a contract to do my own album. I was overjoyed!
Shortly after that, my life fell apart and I ended up going through a divorce and becoming a single mom. I was so broken-hearted that I couldn't sing for a while. Everytime I started to sing, I would cry. I also had to take on a new career to pay the bills so I didn't have the time to write more music and record my album.
I have learned so much since that time. My hardest trials have shaped who I am and have strengthened me in ways I never expected. I'm truly a stronger person because of them!
I feel like I have come full circle in releasing this album. In writing and releasing these songs, I hope to share what I have learned and help others through their challenges too.
