Bridge The Gap - A custom song written as a tribute to teachers

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to do an hour-long keynote concert for "Educate & Rejuvenate," a conference for teachers sponsored by Wife Teacher Mommy. I shared 3 songs during my keynote, but I was also commissioned to write and record a song specifically for the conference as well as direct a music video. The Aspire Children's Chorus and a few extra children and adult actors I know, did a fabulous job at getting the message across that I hoped to share! My adorable grand-daughter, Brielle, is the soloist at the beginning and end. Merrilee Webb captured exactly what was wanted for the orchestrations and Funk Studios did a great job recording and doing the original mastering. My husband, Dan, re-mastered it for the amazing final recording and Boone Hogge, the videographer, also did an amazing job with the videography!

I have written custom songs before, but with this one, I wanted to get across a message of gratitude while also acknowledging the company who commissioned it. It was so exciting for me to step out of my comfort zone and produce a song that, while not spiritual in nature, I hope will inspire teachers everywhere to know how much they are appreciated!
