Performing in The Temple Square Christmas Collection Concert Series
I just got word that The Aspire Children's Chorus and I have been chosen to appear in The Church of Jesus Christ's Christmas Concert series this coming Wednesday, December 16 at 6:00 pm singing my song, "The Presence of Christmas." Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the church's regular Temple Square Concert Series was cancelled and groups could submit performances to be included in the concert series. With everything going on in our country this last year, I think most of us can see that the commandment to "Love One Another" has never been more needed. We have seen division because of racism, government and medical guidelines during the current COVID-19 pandemic, and let's not forget politics and the election! That's why I am so excited to offer the SATB version of Love His Children!
On The Other Side
Like you, I have had my own difficulties in this life. One thing I have experienced is that when we feel like we are just barely holding on, we are not alone. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, is there for us every step of the way. When we turn to Him, He can truly consecrate our greatest trials for our good. We learn. We grow. We become more like Him. And when we get to "the other side" of that challenge, we can look back and see how far we have come and know that we are stronger for having climbed that mountain!

I love weddings! After all, what is more exciting than finding someone you love so much that you want to spend the rest of your life with them? I would say, without a doubt, the only thing more exciting than that is adding the words "for time and for all eternity" to the package!
My husband and I celebrated our 12th anniversary on March 19th. Because of COVID-19, we had to cancel all of our fancy celebrations.....dinner at Ruth's Chris, hotel accomodations, and concert tickets that we had for that weekend as well as a trip we had planned later. Instead, we both "stayed safe and stayed home" together. The pandemic, combined with the fact that most of our children are not living at home now means that we have had more time than ever before to focus on our relationship. We have almost felt as if we have been on a second honeymoon, even though we have hardly gone anywhere. And I do mean ANYWHERE. Seriously.
For all those women who think they are not perfect....
For as long as I have been a mother, Mother’s Day has always meant breakfast in bed, sweet notes from my children, and celebrating 1) the gift of being able to be a mother and 2) the amazing examples of women in my life, including my own mother. What’s not to love about that?
However, over the years I have heard stories of many women for whom Mother’s Day is a very depressing and painful day. Some women have not been able to have children, or their children are estranged from them. Others do have children, but they think Mother’s Day is a celebration of the “perfect” mother and thus feel discouraged because they do not live up to this standard.
