Go Heavenly Father's Way
I wanted to write an upbeat Children's Song that would inspire children to make good choices. Then one day, I was driving with my grandson, Parker, and we were talking about how a red light means "stop," a green light means "go" and (as his dad taught him,) a yellow light means "super-fast!" ;) It made me think how fun it would be to create a song using familiar steet and directional signs as the "signs" that show us the way on the road of life also. My son-in-law, whom I call "Handy-Randy," came to the rescue once again! He created all of the street signs...
Perfect For Me
For as long as I have been a mother, Mother’s Day has always meant breakfast in bed, sweet notes from my children, and celebrating 1) the gift of being able to be a mother and 2) the amazing examples of women in my life, including my own mother. What’s not to love about that?
However, over the years I have heard stories of many women for whom Mother’s Day is a very depressing and painful day.
The Things I Will Remember
I haven't posted a song for a while, but that is because I have been busy getting quite a few songs ready! This is the first of 3 that will be posted in about a 3 week period!
This song celebrates the memories and personal growth that come from serving a religious mission. While I have never served an "official" mission myself, I have known many people who have and I admire those who are willing to set aside their own personal interests to share their knowledge of God and Jesus Christ,
Because He Came
I am so excited to release my first music video as well as my first collection of music on this site!
I think it is fitting that this song is first, because the birth of Jesus Christ is the single most important event that has ever happened in the history of the world. The way Christ gave his life, both while living and when he chose to suffer for our sins and lay down His perfect life for us, is the greatest gift that has ever been given! In this commercial day and age where so much of the Holiday season is focused on material things, I hope that as we approach this Christmas season, this song will help you to remember, amid all of the fun holiday traditions, that the reason we celebrate Christmas is really to commemorate His birth and what that momentous day means to all of us! Because Our Savior lives, we will never be the same! We are blessed because He came!
